So, Cory is home again. As much of what happens in the story is based on what happens in gameplay, I thought I'd share a few pictures of how things went in-game...
Although I never mentioned it in-story, the day I planned to bring Cory home, Sam was fired from her after-school job.
Rose tried to comfort her...
... and it was clear who she held responsible.
So, yeah, she's still angry at him, a lot. Which is why I was so surprised at their reaction when he moved back in. They headed straight for the bedroom...
... and stayed there for pretty much the next 24 sim-hours!
I'm serious here. If it wasn't ACR directing them, then it was one or both of them having a want to woohoo. As soon as we fulfilled it, someone would roll it again. I let them go for it because it was the easiest way to bring both their depleted aspiration levels back up.
Rose still has mixed feelings, but Cory sure looks pleased with himself :)
Awwwww!
By the time they were done, their energy and hunger levels were in the red but they were both platinum-happy! :)
The next day, Rose felt the need to clear the air a bit...
"Look, before you finish clearing the dishes, there's something we need to talk about..."
Kyle had much the same conversation with him, some time later...
Depending on your interpretation, the next speech balloon was either threatening...
... or just plain squicky...
Ok, yeah, moving right on...
The funniest part of the day after Cory came home, was the autonomous visitors/walk-bys... concerned family, much?
First, Willow came...
... and, cute homework lesson in the background, btw :)
Then Aaron arrived, too...
What is Cory doing here?! Is he apologizing to Rose's mother? Does the game work that way?
Aaron is like, wtf? So am I...
While this was all going on, Matthew also turned up autonomously. I later found him upstairs with Sam. Obviously they're getting bolder with their relationship...
A lot bolder!
Oh, dear...
By that evening, the lack of sleep caught up with Rose...
Awwww #2
So, here's where we stand on day 1 home:
Rose is still having the occasional angry moment, but she clearly wants to make up.
... and Cory is as confused as ever! *sigh*
A couple of other completely unrelated outtakes:
Sharla is afraid of having a bad conversation with her baby. Oh, yeah, and she's still mad at Cory.
Really mad!
For someone with 10 cooking points, Willow sure has her share of disasters.
Out checking on her bird aviary in the middle of the night... between the burnt food and this, I'm convinced we must be related! :)
It looks like Willow is complimenting Cory and he's accepting. I'm pretty sure that's what non-grouchy Sims do when they accept a compliment.
ReplyDeleteBuilding relationships back up with woohoo! Hey, whatever works, right? I imagine Rose and Cory still have some serious talking to do as well though.
You could be right about the compliment - I missed most of the interaction, having been distracted by the discovery of Sam and Matthew back in the house. And, yeah, whatever works... in the game at least, although I couldn't resist referencing it in-story as well :)
